Springhill – Pasco Pirates (7-7, 4-5) faced off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic School (15-4, 4-1) on Monday night. The Pirates were met with a stiff defense and a strong offense.
Bishop McLaughlin’s Bryce Carrol pitched all seven innings. Carrol gave up very little in his time on the mound. Carrol only gave up four hits and a walk, this game to be considered a shutout for him. Carrol would go on to strike out eight batters and ultimately get the win for this game.
Carrol played a good game on the offensive side as well. Leading the team in this regard as well, with two RBI’s and two runs of his own. Doug Long followed his lead getting two RBI’s also.
Bishop McLaughlin put up six runs in the fourth inning. They would then move on to put up another in the fifth inning and a final run in the sixth inning. Bishop McLaughlin had a total of eight runs this game and go on to close out the game in an 8-0 shutout against the Pirates.
Bishop McLaughlin (16-4, 4-1) would go on to face Sickles High (5-14, 1-3) at their home field on Wednesday 4/24. The Pasco Pirates (7-8, 4-5) head to Challenge the River Ridge Royal Knights on Thursday 4/25.
