DADE CITY – The Wiregrass Ranch Lady Bulls easily got by Pasco Wednesday night 50-35 in a non-divisional contest at the Dr. Donald McBath Activities Center at Pasco High School in Dade City.

The Pirates Hung with the Bulls in the opening quarter and trailed by only 3 points 13-10 after the first eight minutes. Emilia Cameron and Julia Johnson were the only scorers for the Pirates in the opening session, Cameron with 6 points and Johnson with 4. Cameron was top point getter for the game for Pasco scoring 13 points.

After second and third quarters that favored the Bulls, Pasco found themselves down by 15 points, 38-23. At the directions of Coach John Gant, Wiregrass Ranch went into the keep-away mode in the final period scoring 0 points via field goals but 12 from the charity stripe. Kailee Burkleo accounted for half of that output with 6. Burkleo had 11 for the game. Madison Gant was the top scorer for Wiregrass Ranch with 14 and was the only other Bull in double figures.

The Bulls will return to District play Friday night when they host the Gaither Cowboys who have yet to win a game this season (0-17). Pasco will travel to Hudson for their divisional match-up to take on the winless Cobras (0-18).
