New Port Richey – The Cypress Creek Coyotes (12-6, 8-2) squared off against the Gulf Buccaneers (1-12, 1-10) in their next away district game. The second in back-to-back games against the Buccaneers.
Raj Latchana pitching a strong game on Tuesday night. Latchana pitched six of seven innings. Coming up with 6 strikeouts, 3 groundouts and 10 flyouts. Putting in a strike percentage of .720 and receiving the win for this game.
Nolan Jamison heading up the offense with 3 RBI’s in two at-bats. Jamison singled in the second inning scoring the first run in the game. Preston Moore follows up with a sacrifice fly to put up another. Jamison up to bat again in the third, hits a ground ball to center field scoring Matthew Snyder and David Aponte. Score in the third inning 4-0
The Coyotes put up two more in the fourth inning. Snyder singles to center field bringing Moore in to home. Ethan Petry doubles on a fly ball to right field, Snyder and Aponte score again. This brings the score to 7-0 in the fourth.
Spencer Lozano is hit by a pitch, shortly after steals second and makes it to third on an error. Jason Stahlgren walks and follows Lozano’s lead also stealing second. Lozano scores on an error and Stahlgren is in at home on a wild pitch. Final score 9-0.
The Cypress Creek Coyotes (13-6, 9-2) are on the road to Hudson to challenge The Hudson Cobras (4-11, 3-6) next Monday 4/22. The Gulf Buccaneers (1-13, 1-11) will be taking on the River Ridge Royal Knights (8-5, 5-3) Thursday 4/18.
