TRINITY – On a drizzly wet night the visiting Pasco Pirates (9-0-3, 8-0-1) came into Wednesday’s match at Mitchell undefeated and left with their unblemished record intact.

Pasco did all their damage on the Mustangs in the first half scoring 3 goals form which Mitchell could not rebound. Three seniors, Migual Flores, Jason Nicolette and Alexandro Montes-Del Torres inflicted the damage on the Mustangs.

Nicolette, a Pirate Captain, has managed 16 goals in just 7 games played, followed closely by Flores who is also in double figures with 10. Montes-Del Torres who has started every game for Pasco has netted 6 on the season along with 7 assists.

Pasco held the Mustangs to just 5 shots on the night on Pirates Keeper Augustus Hoff who turned back 3 and allowed 2, one in each half.

The Pirates will return to action on the 7th of January when they return to W.F. Edwards to take on the Eagles of Springstead (5-6, 4-4).

The Mustangs will be participating in the Tampa Bay Invitational Tournament at Clearwater Central Catholic in the first week of 2019. Their opening match will be against Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola, a private, all-boys, Catholic school located in San Juan, PR. Mitchell will return to local competition when they return home to play the 0-7 Chamberlin Chiefs on January 8th.
