Dade City – The Pasco Pirates (5-7, 3-5) played against the Zephyrhills Bulldogs (7-9, 4-3) at home for their next District game. A combination of good offense and a steadfast defense brought the Pirates a victory Friday night.

The Pirates quickly get to work putting up the score. A hit batter and singles from Emilio Villa and Brian Schildt loads the bases. Bryce Braxton and Villa score on errors. Schildt scores on a single by Bristol Sargent. Jose Garcia scores on a Brandon Mills single. Score in the first 4-0.

Logan Wynne out in the third on a sacrifice fly that scores Benjamin McLeod. Villa doubles on a fly ball to left scoring Braxton in the fourth. Score 6-0.

Pirates put up 4 consecutive points in the 5th inning. A pop fly from Villa and Schildt score Kenneth Graham and Nicolas Contreras. Braxton Scores on a wild pitch. Garcia steps up and grounds to fielder’s choice, scoring Villa. Bringing the score to 10-0. Game ends by Mercy Rule.

The Pasco Pirates (6-7, 4,5) next game an away game against the Anclote Sharks (1-12, 0-8). The Zephyrhills Bulldogs (7-10, 4-4) would go on to face the Land O’ Lakes Gators (11-4, 8-1) at home.
