Dade City – The Wesley Chapel Wildcats (10-8, 5-5) faced off with the Anclote Sharks (3-17, 0-9) in the first of their postseason tournament games on Monday night at Pasco High School.

Austin Coultas would lead the team offensively this game. Coultas had three RBI’s in two at-bats with two runs of his own. On the defensive front Zach Showalter and Josh Wollerman pitched a no-hitter game. Both pitchers were in for roughly the same amount of innings with Showalter receiving the win.

The Wildcats came at the Sharks hard and fast to push the score up to 8-0 in the first inning. Jesse Rhodes doubles a fly ball to center, Coultas scores. A Jackson Choinski fly ball to right field scores Rhodes and Showalter. Pirates pitcher Johnston walks Yo Gomez and Choinski scores. A Thomas Byron ground ball to left scores AJ Pabon. Coultas up to bat for the second time this inning. Coultas Doubles a fly ball to right fielder, as a result Tyler Sullivan Gomez and Byron Score.

The Wildcats put up two more points in the second inning. The Sharks get a point in the third and one in the fourth off a wild pitch and an error. Anclote is unable to put up any more runs and the wildcats score two more in the fifth to bring the game to end by mercy rule with a final score of 12-2.

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats would go on to face the River Ridge Royal Knights (12-7, 7-3) on Tuesday 5/7. The Anclote Sharks (3-18, 0-9) season comes to an end.
