Zephyrhills – The Wesley Chapel Wildcats evened the season series with Zephyrhills with a 66-54 victory over the Bulldogs.

After a close opening period that saw quite a few lead changes and ended in a tie, Wesley Chapel took advantage of a flat Zephyrhills second quarter to pull ahead by double figures. An 11-2 run in the closing 3 minutes gave the Wildcats a 30-20 lead at the break from which the Bulldogs never recovered.

Javarrius Wilson with 15 points was high scorer for Zephyrhills. Harrison Barker finished with 10 and was the only other Bulldog in double figures. Donte Marchman and Kevin Pagan each had 9 points for Zephyrhills.

The Wildcats had four players in double figures. Isaiah Ramsey led the way with 16, Donte Sol and Trystan Hanson each with 12 and Ethan Jones scored 10.

With the season now down to the last two weeks and the District tournament looming, it is still undetermined as to the seeding for the event. Anclote (12-3, 10-1) leads the way with the Wildcats one game behind (15-4, 9-2). Zephyrhills remains in the running (12-5, 8-3) with Gulf (10-7, 7-4) right on their heels. District leading Anclote still has a game with both Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills. The Bulldogs face Gulf Wednesday night The Wildcats play Anclote Friday and Gulf on the 30th of January.
