Wesley Chapel – The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (9-8, 1-3) faced off with the Pasco Pirates (7-9, 4-6) at their home field last night. Both teams played a good game offensively, however the Bulls offensive charge wouldn’t be halted this night.


Player #15 Garrett lead the team offensively with three hits and four RBI’s in just three at-bats. Noah Johnson and Jalenn Mead followed close behind with a couple hits of their own and 3 RBI’s each.


Brian Schildt started the scoring with a line drive double, scoring two runs. Schildt to score on a wild pitch at the end of their time at bat. The Bulls quickly match their score 3-3 in the first. Derek Baker grounds out and Chris Lebron scores. Jalenn Mead double a fly ball to right, scoring Nate Crissey and Johnson.


The Bulls quickly pull away, putting themselves up six points by the third with a score of 11-5. A single by #15 Garrett score Jacob Martin, Baker to score on an error. Score now 13-7 in the fifth.


Bottom of the sixth, the bulls put up another four points. Mead singles to left field scoring Paul Sustachek. Garret hits a fly ball to center field, bringing home Martin and Baker.  Mitch Ferrera singles on a ground ball to shortstop Logan Wynne, Mead scores again. The final score in the sixth inning 17-7, ending the game by mercy rule.


The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (10-8, 1-3) take on the Cypress Creek Coyotes (16-6, 10-2) at home on Monday 4/29 in the Sunshine Athletic Conference. The Pasco Pirates (7-10, 4-6) will play against the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls again (10-8, 1-3) at home on Tuesday 4/30 for their final game of the season.
